My friend Suzie who moved to Frisco a couple of months ago, whose 2 little boys are Luke and Hudson, was having a birthday party for L&H. So, we decided it was a good excuse to drive up to Ponder and spend the weekend with Ma, GG and P.
We had a great time. On Friday, we took Chad to the Ft. Worth Stockyard. We watched the cows march down the street and then we had lunch.
You cant really tell in this picture but Ma is on the saddle with Chad. We laughed – Thank God for new hips!
Annabel was perfectly happy to enjoy all the excitement of the day in her stroller.
And, it would not have been a trip to Ponder if we didn’t feed the donkeys and horses. This was Annabel’s first time to feed the donkeys and she was a pro!

Craig stayed back at home this visit and held down the fort with our own livestock (Bailey and Fritz) and to work. Ma said this was my first visit to Ponder by myself with the kids. I know this was my first visit with BOTH kids by myself but I had no idea I had never driven by myself with Chad. Well, nonetheless, both kids were great! We left mid-morning so the kids were awake for a little while of the drive, then they both fell asleep and then were up a little while at the end of the trip. Seriously, best kids ever, no problems whatsoever on the drive!
Also, Craig and I think we deserve an award for giving our children some great experiences. In the same week, Chad got to go down and see the space shuttle and go to the Ft. Worth Stockyards. Pretty fun for a kid! And, although we might not be in school full time he is certainly learning a lot!
