The Happiest Baby on the Block!

When I was pregnant, Craig and I read the book and watched the video for the "Happiest Baby on the Block." It basically applied the principle of "swaddling." The video showed crying babies and with that principle along with swinging, shhhusing, and sucking was applied it was like a miracle!! The babies instantly stopped crying.

Well, when Chad was born, he did not go for these principles. He did not like to be swaddled and cried even louder when we tried to shhhhush him.

When he started to get the colic, we tried the principles again. Now, he seems to love to be swaddled and along with the swinging and the sucking, it gives us some peace in the evenings!! And, he takes a good morning nap.
