When we first moved into our neighborhood we did not have any young kids at all. We didn’t even have neighbors that came out of their houses! It made me very sad and depressed because we came from a neighborhood that was very social and that we made very good friends at.
But….that has all changed within the last 3 years. It is wonderful and I absolutely love it. There are probably 11 kids that live within walking distance and it feels like the “old days” where kids are outside playing all day long and they go from house to house.
But, it is not unusual for them all to end up at my house. Apparently I am the “cool” parent. I don’t mind….I actually kind of like it. It seems that I always have a house full of kids!
