The week after the 4th, we headed up to Ponder to spend the week. There is a company that partners with NFL players and put on camps. There was a Texans one here in Houston but the one in Ponder was at UNT which is close to Mom’s house plus we got to spend the week with them!
Of course, every road trip starts here:
Chad has fallen in love with football. Such a big change from last year when he cried, whined and threw up at his first football practice. Now, he loves getting hot, he loves learning and he lives and breathes football!

Chad is a pretty fast runner (I taught him everything he knows) so he decided that he wanted to train to be a running back.
Day 1 was a positions camp and they also had an autograph session with one of the Dallas Cowboys:
Chad was one of the youngest kids at this camp. And, I have to say that I was pretty proud because he hung with the big dogs – so to speak. He was not scared or afraid and worked his hardest!

Chad made a friend while at camp. His name is Konnor and surprisingly he is also from Houston. I met the Mom and we have good intentions of getting the boys together! Hopefully it will work out!
And then there was Annabel who got to spend lots of time with her Ma, P and GG. She loved having the individual attention. And, from what I understand, she and Ma bossed each other around all day! She also got to have tea parties with her friend Avery.
She did come to the field with us once to watch her brother but she was much more interested in snacks:
