I really have enjoyed the weekend with me and the kids alone. I am lucky to have pretty good kids….for the most part! We did what we wanted when we wanted, we ate when and what we wanted, we went to bed when we wanted, we played all day everyday, we had a great time. Wait, this sounds pretty much like every other day! Last night, Chad actually decided he wanted to sleep in his own room, I was quite surprised but it was nice not to have a foot in my face – nothing says a good nights sleep like a good kick in the face every once in a while. Today, was uneventful. As mentioned in the previous blog, we got up and went to church, went to lunch and then came home for the rest of the day. Annabel took a nap, Chad played, I finished up some projects. When Annabel got up we went around the block on the ride on toys then came inside and played the rest of the day. We watched the Texans for a while…poor Texans.
We are looking forward to having Daddy Craig back tomorrow. Chad has really missed him. Craig always says that Chad is a Mommy’s boy but you wouldn’t know it by the number of times he asked about his Daddy this weekend. It was very sweet. He wanted to know how many sleeps until Daddy came home, he wanted the football team to play right then so that Daddy could come home, etc. etc. So, hurry up and come home Daddy!
All for now. Ma and GG are coming in on Wednesday so we have something already to look forward to.
