Simply mad about Chad and his baby sister Annabel!: Happy 3rd Birthday Chad!

Wow! Where does the time go? Seems like I was just planning his 1st birthday party! I do have to say that the older he gets the more fun his parties get. And, I think it is mainly because of Chad’s comprehension level as to what is going on. He has been talking about his birthday for months. He knew where the party was going to be, he understood that he was going to have cake (and we talked about the theme of his cake and party) and blow out the candles and of course he understood that people were going to bring him presents! But, the day after his party, he said to me, “Mom (yes, since he turned 3, I don’t hear Mommy or Mama as much), let’s go have my birthday at Bouncin’ Bears!” I guess this year we will work on him comprehending that his birthday only comes once per year!

As usual, the entire family traveled in for the big event! Ma, GG, P, Poppy, Nana Val, Nana Marlene, Grandpa, GrandDad, Nana Carrol, Uncle John, Uncle Doug, Aunt Melissa and Talon were all here! We are so lucky to have such wonderful family that wants to spend this time with Chad and will travel to do so! So, thanks Family! We had 23 kids RSVP for the party. Only about 15 ended up making it. Most cancelled due to sickness – there has been a nasty bug going around. But, nonetheless everyone that was able to come had a great time!

The venue as mentioned above was Bouncin’ Bears. It is a huge jump castle place. Chad has really liked it over the past year so we thought it would be the perfect location. And, as also mentioned above, he has been very excited about it for the past few months. Of course, I booked it almost a year ago but didn’t tell him at the time.

We started off the day by Ma giving Chad a special present. She gave him a train that my Papa had made. Chad loves trains and this was such a special gift!

Then, we headed to Bouncin’ Bears! Chad’s party theme was from the movie Cars. We had an awesome cake and the giveaways were Cars Cookies decorated at Lightning McQueen and TowMater. We also had Cars coloring book packs.
