I recently went into a house that had an adorable painted plaque that stated their family rules. They read (in no particular order):
Laugh often.
Love one another.
Smile.
Clean your mess.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart.
Celebrate.
Be grateful.
Forgive.
My first thought was OH HOW CUTE I MUST HAVE ONE JUST LIKE THAT. But then I thought again. Does that adequately describe my family and the things I tend to repeat day after day? I wish. Our list would include things like:
Do not eat things in the trash can.
Do not take off your diaper.
Do not climb on things.
Do not throw your food.
Do not play with the toilet paper.
Well, you get the idea. What would your rules say?
