Never a dull moment in this house. Yesterday, we were out back playing and for some reason the same tree that has been in our backyard since we have lived here snuck up on Chad and got his left cheek. We saw blood so Craig went in and cleaned it up and checked it out. It looked like it needed stitches so I scooped him up and took him to the local ER and Craig stayed home with Annabel. The doc at the ER was not real sure what to do. It was not a clear cut but rather a “fillet of the skin. So, he didn’t know if it should just heal on its own or have stiches. And, I already expressed concern about scarring so they cleaned it up, bandaged it and sent us on our way to make an appointment with a plastic surgeon. We had our appointment today at 11:45am and the doc said he for sure needed to have it stitched up but in order to do so he would need to be sedated. (Imagine this but Chad would not hold still long enough for the doc to even look at the wound.) So, tomorrow at 7:00am (we have to be there at 6:15am) Chad will be sewn up. I will try and have the doctor get a before and after photo for us.
I have been waiting for a pic of this tree incident - stinkin' trees - they always jump out at the worst times! Praying all goes well :)
