What a great weekend!

This weekend, we traveled to New Braunfels for the Mother's Day get-together at Marlene's house. Both her side of the family as well as Britt's side of the family all attend. It is a big together and it is a lot of fun now that there are little ones running around. There are 3 little boys all about the same age that can now play together. And, did they ever play! They played in the pool, they played in mud puddles, they played with rocks, they played ball, they chased butterflies and on and on. It was great fun!

Now, I have to brag on my sweet little boy Chad a little bit. WOW - what a happy boy he has turned out to be considering the first 6 months of his life all he did was scream and there were numerous times when I said, "yep, I have given birth to the world's most unhappy baby." On our way to New Braunfels, he did not nap at all in the car until we got to New Braunfels and he snuck in about a 10 minute nap. So, he went all day without a nap. And, he was such a good little boy. I had more than one person ask me, "Is he always this happy?"

He is so much fun and such a joy to be around. If you smile at him, he will always smile back. He is good at entertaining himself and so much fun to do things with. He makes me laugh. He will do the funniest things now! We love to play outside, we love to go swimming, we love to go for runs, we love to go bike riding, we love to go to the park. He is such a joy and such a blessing! He is my little buddy!
