Chad invited two of his friends from Gymboree, Adelaide and William, over to make the Daddys a very special Valentine. I can't believe I was this brave but we busted out the finger paints. I bought canvas and we let the kids go to town!! At first, they were not sure but they got the hang of it. A few questions might come to your mind:
Did they eat the paint? YES
Did they enjoy playing with the brushes more than they did painting? YES
Did the brushes go in their mouths? YES
Did more paint make it on their shirts than on the canvas? YES
By letting my 13 month old finger paint, does this put me in the running for Mother of the Year? YES
Yes, Yes, Yes to all the questions that might come to your mind! But, they had a great time so it was all worth it. And, surprisingly, very easy clean up. We just gathered up the sheet, wiped off the table and DONE.
After we got done painting, the kids had a great time playing together. They played for probably almost an hour!!
Oh, and the masterpieces, one of which was done using Chad's sponge technique, with a little help from Mommy.
