WOW!! What a weekend.

Check that -- WOW -- what a year!! It is hard to believe Chad is going to be a year old this week. The days have been long but the time has flown by. Chad started off his birthday week by starting to walk. It was crazy. We were working with him on standing up and walking and then all of a sudden he took off! He is walking off and on now but still finds it more efficient to crawl some places because it is faster and easier for him at this point. But, every once in a while I will look and he will be walking from place to place. I imagine after this week he will be walking everywhere!

The walking was on Friday night and then on Saturday Chad had his first birthday party. It was a hoot! All the grandparents came in from far and wide so that was really special. And, it was a lot of fun to see how many people love our little guy. Chad already has a lot of friends and people that care about him. He has certainly made an impact his first year.

At the party, we had a clown, jump castle, snacks and cake. Oh, the cake. We found out how much Chad really likes cake. You have to check out the pictures for yourself!

Thanks again to everyone who came to the party to help us celebrate Chad’s first birthday! And, thanks to everyone for their love and support this first year. It has been a trip!
