Weekend update and Four month check-up!

We spent Easter weekend in Dallas with my folks and had a great time. Chad was a very good baby -- even during church! He let Pappy show him off to all his church friends and did not cry once. He adjusted well to being in a new place and slept just as he does at home, which is about a six hour stretch at night. He looked super cute in his Easter outfit. He got to see lots of family he had not seen before and everyone was loving on him. This weekend will be a true test to his immune system being around a bunch of new people! Keep your fingers crossed that none of us get sick!

In some of these pictures, you can see that Chad is less than impressed about what is going on. But, he needs to remember that he is the first child so he needs to just indulge us!!

Now, onto this four month check-up. Chad has grown to almost 14 lbs. and is about 24" tall. The doctor is very happy with his weight gain. She can not believe it!! Once again, she commented on how "pretty" Chad is and still thinks he looks like a girl. She said to make sure I bring a picture in next time with a close up on his face because he is sooooo pretty. She went on and on about how many kids she sees everyday and he is just so pretty. I was glad that Craig was not there to hear all of that nonsense. He is very handsome, I agree, but NOT pretty!!! He got three shots again today and an oral medication. We officially got the "OK" to start cereal even though we have been experimenting with that for over a month. Shhhhhhhh -- don't tell the doc!

I think overall things are getting easier in our household. We have developed a routine and kind of know what to expect on things. No matter how hard things have been, we have managed to cook a meal each night and for the most part, we all sit down together to eat. As mentioned before, Chad is sleeping a good 5-6 hour stretch and the doctor suggested trying to cut out the middle of the night feeding. Just pat him or rock him briefly to get him back to sleep. I will try that but I am sure like most other things, it will take us a while to get it down.
